Livingston HealthCare Named Top Hospital for Physician Communication
(Livingston, MT) Livingston HealthCare (LHC) is honored to be named a top hospital nationwide for physician communication by Becker's Hospital Review. The list released on November 8 reflects the best hospitals for physician communication in each state using Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) data from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Livingston HealthCare is named among 330 hospitals nationwide and only eight Montana hospitals. “Effective communication is the central function in building a doctor-patient relationship,” says Bruce Whitfield, CEO of LHC, “which is important in the successful delivery of high-quality health care.”
CMS shares HCAHPS star ratings based on publicly reported measures. The physician communication star rating combines data from three HCAHPS survey questions and summarizes how well patients feel that their physicians explained things clearly, listened carefully to them and treated them with courtesy and respect.
