Livingston HealthCare RN Achieves Advanced Breastfeeding Consultation Certification
(Livingston, MT) Livingston HealthCare (LHC) proudly announces the achievement of LHC Family Birth Center manager Sarah LaClair, RN, who has earned her International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification. This esteemed credential has prepared LaClair to provide new mothers experiencing complex breastfeeding issues with evidence-based lactation support, guidance and education.
Breastfeeding is beneficial for the health of infants, but also fosters a strong bond between mother and child. The 95-hour IBCLC certification process has equipped LaClair to provide the highest level of care during the breastfeeding journey. The Family Birth Center manager’s added expertise also enhances the comprehensive care provided to families at Livingston HealthCare.
Livingston HealthCare is a certified Baby-Friendly hospital that offers free lactation consultations to all of Park County. LaClair’s IBCLC certification enhances LHC’s dedication to supporting breastfeeding in our community. LaClair is available for free consultations for complex lactation issues—typically a $100-$200 charge—to further support mothers in overcoming challenges they may face and to promote successful breastfeeding experiences within the community. LHC’s Family Birth Center continues to offer lactation consultations with Certified Lactation Counselors as well.
