Livingston HealthCare Hospice has served the local community for over 30 years. Hospice is not a place, but a concept of care, and whenever possible, hospice care is offered at home. Care provided in the home allows patients to live their final days to the fullest, surrounded by their loved ones. Families can be together when it means the most, supporting the patient’s final days with peace, comfort, and dignity.
As a hospice volunteer, you would be part of the hospice team which is made up of the patient’s family, caregivers, physician, nurses and other professionals.

Various services volunteers provide:

• Reading and letter writing
• Recreation (cards, crafts, board games, hobbies)
• Friendly visits
• Transportation
• Cleaning house, laundry, shopping
• Child care
• Assistance with eating or dressing
