Supervised Exercise Program
Healthy Steps is a registered nurse-supervised exercise program for those
with special health concerns, such as hypertension and diabetes. It is
also a great resource for anyone seeking exercise with registered nurse
(RN) supervision. Participants receive an individualized exercise program
to safely increase strength and endurance and provide the other benefits
of regular exercise—such as lower blood pressure and blood sugars,
improved cholesterol levels, and an overall sense of well-being.
Through Healthy Steps, participants will work towards:
- Feeling better faster
- Getting stronger
- Reducing stress
- Reducing the risks of future heart problems
- Living longer
How Can You Benefit From Exercising with a Registered Nurse?
Registered nurses have gone through extensive medical education and training
and are officially recognized as medical professionals. RNs perform a
variety of tasks in a health care center, and working with such a wide
array of injuries and illnesses provides them with substantial insight
on a patient’s health. Exercising with an RN provides participants
with a chance to have their progress tracked by a knowledgeable professional
who can guide the routine to address risks factors.
