CT Scan

In Computed Tomography (CT or CT scan), a computer provides cross-sectional pictures of structures within the body using the data from multiple x-ray images. The CT scan can reveal some soft-tissue and other structures that cannot be seen in conventional x-rays films. A CT scan uses the same dosage of radiation as an ordinary x-ray machine and can show a cross sectional image of the body with 100 times more clarity. If you have questions, please talk to your physician or call the Imaging Department at 406-823-6441.
