Visitors are an important part of the healing process. There are no set visiting hours at the hospital, except as determined by condition of the patient. Visits from persons who are ill are discouraged for the safety of all patients. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Tobacco Free Campus
As a healthcare organization, our role is to improve the health of the people who live in our community. We ask patients, visitors, and employees to refrain from using any tobacco products on our property at all times. All tobacco products are harmful to health, and our policy applies to all facilities owned or operated by Livingston HealthCare.
Cell Phones & Electronics
At Livingston HealthCare, we understand that sometimes you need to stay connected to the outside world, or you want access to entertainment while you wait. Our facility is designed with that in mind. You may use your cell phone within designated areas. Cell phone usage is limited within the hospital because phones may interfere with some medical equipment.
The following electronic devices may also be used within the hospital, with approval:
Livingston HealthCare also offers free guest wireless Internet access. For more infomation on how to access the guest wireless network, pick up a brochure at brochure racks throughout the hospital, at the patient registration desk or nurses station. Food & Meals
Patient meals are provided with treatment and recovery in mind. Visitors may purchase meals in the hospital cafeteria, located on the lower level. Free coffee, iced tea, and hot tea are available all day. Other beverages and meals may be purchased for a nominal cost during business hours. The Livingston Memorial Hospital cafeteria is open for staff, visitors, and the community from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. with hot meals served during the following times:
Patient Gifts
Patient gifts are always welcome. Special considerations include: flowers, which are not allowed in intensive care; food (patients may have special dietary restrictions); or latex ballons (not permitted because of patient allergies).
